Field use notice

The phone stays secured during live play.

Officials Comms is being designed for hands-free use. No official should hold, look at, or touch a phone while officiating a live play.

Do not use on-screen controls during a live play.

Create and join the room before the game. Secure the phone and use only an approved headset or accessory.

Required conditions

Hands-free only

The phone must remain secured. Stop using the product if operation requires handling the phone.

Test the full route

Confirm microphone, earpiece, push-to-talk behavior, reconnects, and alerts before game activity.

Local rules control

Use the product only when permitted by the league, association, venue, and game administrator.

Judgment stays human

Ask Rules is a reference aid. It does not replace the rulebook, mechanics manual, replay process, or official judgment.

Safe pilot sequence

    Test away from the field

    Use two devices and verify stable two-way audio.

    Test stationary on site

    Confirm headset fit, routing, network conditions, and battery level.

    Get game-administration approval

    Confirm that the product and equipment are allowed for the assignment.

    Stop if attention is pulled from officiating

    Safety, positioning, mechanics, and live-game responsibilities always come first.

No stored audio by default

Officials Comms does not intentionally record or archive crew audio in the MVP 1 configuration.
